Today a kid came up to the reference desk and asked about getting a film.
"You mean, like a movie?"
"No, for the machines. The ones that have news stories on them."
"Ooooh, were you looking for a particular story?"
"No..."
Turns out he had heard about the microfilm machines but had never seen one in action. So we grabbed a random roll and the page went over to give him a demo.
He came back by the desk later and we asked him how it went. Apparently he thought it was the coolest thing ever and wants to use it "every time he comes to the library".
